Tributes have been paid to popular Fianna Fail councillor Fergie Kehoe who died overnight.
He was found dead in his home at Fisher’s Row on Saturday morning.
Cllr Kehoe was an exceptionally popular member of the council and his death has stunned everyone who knew him.
Leading the tributes Cathaoirleach of Wexford County Councillor Tony Dempsey, described him as a ‘generous, caring and committed public representative, whose tragic and untimely passing has deeply saddened his countless friends and colleagues from inside and outside the political arena.
‘Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Frances, his son Oisín, and his extended family, at this most difficult time.’
